Brad Wall moved to abolish the senate today. He explains it best:

On this issue (and no other), the NDP is bang on: Abolish.
I couldn't agree more. The last thing we need in this country is a new "improved" Senate with more politicians, more bureaucrats, more government. Let's get rid of the damned thing.
