Sure Al Gore is a hypocrite. We all knew that. He hates oil, but $100 million from Qatar is a better than fair price for his microscopic convictions.
That isn't the whole story though. Al Gore does have convictions, they just have nothing to do with the environment or warming hysteria.
Al Gore refused to sell his station to Glenn Beck for ideological reasons. Seriously CurrentTV said: “the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view.”
There you have it. Al Gore is aligned with Arab Oil Sheikhs over a fellow countryman. Environmentalism is only a proxy for Al Gore's true agenda: war on the right. Finally the proof.
It has long been said that the green movement is just a repackaged front for Marxism. Now you know it's true.

Agenda 21 and Anthem
Glenn Beck and Harriet Parke have written an excellent book called Agenda 21. Its about a dystopian future where UN Agenda 21 has taken over every aspect of life in the name of saving the planet.
I'm loving it so far. It reminds me a lot of Ayn Rand's Anthem.
Anthem was written in 1937 after Ayn Rand escaped from communist Russia. Anthem is short enough to read in one or two sittings and available entirely free at the above link.
Agenda 21 could easily be described as the prequel to Anthem since the characters in Agenda 21 still remember how it used to be in our civilization. The character's in Anthem are generations removed from all history and science and as ignorant and primitive as Iron Age slaves.
Both are pertinent timely reads in a world going nuts.

Metaphors, Similies, Analogies, and Colloqialisms do not Incite Violence.
Not to get too serious on a Friday, here is something you can find at Glenn Beck's Insider Extreme. Brian Sack pokes fun at just about everything, and this time its Political Correctness run amok.
For the record; hatred incites violence. Hatred, who's symptoms include chanting: "Death to America." That incites violence. Using common metaphors, similies, analogies, and colloqialisms have never incited violence. They are simple tools of our language to enhance the communication of abstract ideas with familiar concepts.
This idea stems from the progressive discipline of Political Correctness. It is simply a method of control over speech that creeps in when high emotions are involved as was the case in the aftermath of the Tuscon shooting.
I used to have as my slogan: "puts the cross-hairs of reason on spinners and spin." Yes I caved and changed it to reticle but reticle of reason sounds better. -don't you think? Besides, microscopes, telescopes, cameras and viewfinders of all kinds have reticles. They aren't found strictly on firearms.
Nothing I can do about assassin though. LOL Only losers play progressive games.

A Sunday Poem: The Gods of the Copybook Headings
Glenn Beck reads Literary Nobel Laureate Joseph Rudyard Kiplings The Gods of the Copybook Headings.
The Gods of the Copybook Headings
Children learn their letters by copying them. Copybooks are workbooks that have headings at the top for children to copy. Those headings were always simple truths.
Kipling used 'The Gods of the Copybook Headings' as a stand in for simple truth. Truths like Gravity, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and the Strong and Weak Nuclear forces are the metaphorical Gods. Beck and Kipling himself would add God in there but the deep meaning is Truth.
As children often dislike copying the headers, many people often dislike the truth.

Rudyard Kipling
The Gods of the Copybook Headings
1919As I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
I Make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market-Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.
We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn
That Water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorillas while we followed the March of Mankind.
We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
Being neither cloud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market-Place.
But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.
With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch
They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch
They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings.
So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Heading said: "Stick to the Devil you know." "The Wages of Sin is Death." "If you don't work you die."
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: The Wages of Sin is Death." In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all, By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul; But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy, And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said:
"If you don't work you die." Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew,
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four --
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.
* * * * *
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man --
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began --
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire --
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
